Stopped in for an early lunch on a Saturday. We chose to sit outside as the inside was a little to chilly. Our server was great! Good energy and walked us through some of the dishes and cocktails. The food came out hot and fast. The Margarita pizza was good but not the traditional one you get when ordered. The tortellini with vodka sauce was great! We added blackened shrimp (only comes with 3 extra large shrimp). Tender pasta, plenty of sauce but no bread with it. We also had the mushroom cavatali with blackened chicken. Great flavor to this pasta, but the pasta seemed slightly under done. The chicken was well seasoned and juicy. We did lunch portions of both dishes and it was the perfect amount. We ordered 2 cocktails, but they weren't anything special to remember. All in all, I look forward to trying more items here.
Located in Hyde Park. Parking can be a little tricky. Accommodated our big group of eight. Server and staff were great! Nice to have live music on a Saturday afternoon. The Erica salad was amazing! It was a chopped salad with kale, romaine, marcona almonds and dried cherries with a nice creamy dressing that was tart. The square pizza was delicious but maybe too much crust for my liking. The round version has thinner crust and regret not getting it. Our friends tried the fettuccine Alfredo with grilled chicken. Also the “Risotto” made of farro, parsley, Parmesan with wild mushrooms. We might come back! Nice atmosphere’
I ordered the red fish with capers, spinach & cauliflower mash, and wow… this dish was melt-in-my-mouth delicious. The fish was perfectly cooked tender and full of flavor paired with a bright hit of capers that tied everything together beautifully. And that cauliflower mash? Silky, buttery, and so good I could’ve eaten a whole bowl of it on its own. This plate was hands-down the highlight of my meal, and I will absolutely go back just for this dish. Highly recommend!
Went here for dinner with my friends. Had the shrimp appetizer and it was mind blowing. I had even emptied the last bit of sauce. Absolutely would recommend this dish. My friends had minestrone soup, nothing fancy about it. Just a regular one. We also had mushroom pizza, it was on focaccia bread and we loved it. One of my friends had pesto pasta it was ok and I had mushroom cavatelli - though I liked the sauce am not a fan, I felt the pasta was undercooked (am not sure if that’s how it’s supposed to be, this is my first time trying it out). We had half portions of pastas. It’s super affordable for a high end restaurant and trust me half portions are good enough and fills you pretty good if you also order appetizers.
We had a great first time experience here. The round pizza is a bit thicker, airy dough but with a buttery crust < margherita pizza> . The round pizza was much thinner , the crust has a perfect crunch < alora >. Our 1st time trying the cacio e pepa, which was delicious and creamy. My complaint is that I wish the pasta was bigger! We also ordered beef carpaccio, which we enjoyed! Nice ambiance, little loud but that's only bc they were playing live music. Our server was Chance and he did a good job. Thanks! Definitely excited to come back and try more off the menu.
Our food was delicious. The truffle fries are a must order. Both times I’ve been here I ordered the pesto penne and it’s scrumptious. My sister and I shared the sausage square pizza which we both loved, but let it be known it does have a spice to it. My mom loved her meatballs. My husband ordered a burger and when I asked him how it was he said “it’s a burger”. So maybe don’t order that but I’ll cut them some slice since it’s an Italian restaurant not a burger joint. My one draw back for this restaurant is the noise. It is very very loud. We chose to eat outside in the heat than inside in the noise. However, if this doesn’t bother you then you’ll love it!
This was a fun spot, the "live" entertainer was great, we sat at the bar (usually best in busy places like these and it makes for a fun evening with good interaction, as long as the keeps are good (they were)). The drinks were tasty & the food was good. We shared the salad, meatballs and chicken parm. Sadly the pasta is not homemade here (which would really put it over the top) but the food still tasted good. The ambience and overall vibe are what make this place great for a date night. We went on Friday around 8 and it was packed! Def. recommend making an EARLY reservation if you want a table. Or hang around the bar and wait for someone to get up ;) My apologies, I did not get the best pix this time of the food
Came in and looked through the menu. There were a few things I’d select but I chose the risotto with steak and I will say the flavor was great. Also ordered a lemonade which was also very good. Service was phenomenal our waiter was super sweet and attentive. They had live music so what’s not to love with an ambiance like that. My only complaint would be there were a could have hard pieces of rice in the risotto but other than that I will be back.
